2 Month Shots

Lauren had her first immunization shots yesterday at her 2-month checkup!  She's 22 inches long and 12.5 pounds, so she's still growing, which is good.  She seems to be eating well, but she still has pooping issues, so we're trying to figure out what's up with that.  April thinks she has a problem digesting cow's milk proteins, so she has cut cow's milk out of her own diet and it seems to be helping Lauren.  She got two shots in her thighs yesterday, didn't like it, and promptly fell asleep.  So far no side effects!

Random Video

Here's a video from a few weeks ago before Lauren started smiling and stuff.  She would mostly look around and grunt a little bit.

Shimmy Shimmy

When April went in to check on Lauren this morning, she had wiggled her way to the other side of the crib!  Are almost-2-month olds supposed to be able to do that?  When April put her down for a nap in the morning, she did the same thing!  Crazy girl.

And now here are some photos of her propped up in the corner of the couch.  :D
That's not the couch!  How did that get in here?
 Fancy dress!
 Big yawn!
 New fuzzy jammies.
Her hair is definitely more brown and less black than it was!  And she smiles a lot now when she sees peoples' faces, which is super cute!

The Post Every Other Parent Hates

When we first brought Lauren home we weren't really sure what to do with a new baby and kind of forgot about sleeping and schedules and stuff.  For the first few weeks she was mostly pleasant but would get pretty cranky when we tried to put her down for naps (and she was waking multiple times in the night).  A few weeks ago the light bulb went off, April figured out Lauren's sleep schedule, and she's like a new baby!  She's been sleeping for 10-12 hour stretches at night, takes multiple loooong naps during the day, and is pretty much only awake for a few hours.  And when she's awake she's super happy and alert and ready to hang out and look around.  Her awake window is about 1 hour (or less) and then she's ready for another nap!  We used to think Parker was the best sleeper ever, but I think Lauren might have him beat.
